Laoag City- Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) Operations Center Division conducted a two-day coordination conference with CAAP Area Center I Airports and Control Tower personnel, a move to modernize communication and coordination protocols between CAAP Central Office and airports nationwide.

Officers from the CAAP OPCEN led the conference from August 14 to 15 at Amici Resort Hotel, bringing together key airport personnel to discuss and refine reporting procedures, particularly during emergency and calamity situations.

Attendees included technical, operations, and administrative staff from the airports in Laoag, Vigan, Baguio, Lingayen, and Rosales, as well as the San Fernando Control Tower.

Following a successful conference with partner airport agencies in CAAP Area Center XI (Davao) earlier this month, this initiative marks another step in CAAP’s commitment to modernizing and strengthening its communication processes.

By streamlining coordination, CAAP is ensuring its personnel can share reliable information swiftly and effectively. This supports better decision-making and aligns with the Marcos administration and Department of Transportation’s vision for a more connected and resilient air transport sector, achieved through improved communication, coordinated responses, and stronger partnerships.
