From 17-19 November 2025, 155 participants from the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) attended the USOAP-CMA Workshop at the Grand Westside Hotel in Parañaque City in preparation for the USOAP Audit in September 2026.
The workshop was facilitated by the Air Navigation Bureau (ANB) of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Headquarters in Montreal, Canada, led by key resource persons Mr. Junjian Nie, Chief of the ICAO-ANB Safety and Air Navigation Oversight Audit Section, and Mr. Jerome Guevin, Chief of the Oversight Support Unit, Safety and Air Navigation Oversight Audit Section.
In preparation for the 2026 USOAP full scope audit, this workshop equips CAAP with a clearer understanding of how to better align with global safety standards which ultimately contributes to safety of aviation operations across the country.
