Around 46 airport managers and officers-in-charge from airports operated by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP), together with Civil Aviation Area Managers (CAAMs) and Acting CAAMs, participated in the Area and Airport Managers’ Workshop held from 4 to 6 March 2026 at the Civil Aviation Training Center in Pasay City.

The workshop was conducted under the leadership and directive of CAAP Director General LtGen Raul L Del Rosario AFP (Ret) and organized by the Operations Center Division, with guidance from the Office of the Director General and the active participation of the Director General himself.

During the workshop, DG Del Rosario described airport managers as the bridge between policy and execution, noting that “operational success depends on how strategies translate into actions on the ground.”

He encouraged the managers to develop concrete and practical action plans that can be readily implemented within their respective airports.

DG Del Rosario also challenged the participants to adopt the standardized procedures and best practices discussed during the workshop in order to further improve the efficiency of airport operations enhancements that can ultimately be experienced by both passengers and airline partners.

In closing, the Director General urged airport and area managers to move forward with clarity of purpose and unity of action, as CAAP continues its efforts toward future-proofing the Philippine aviation industry.
