Today, 21 November 2025, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) successfully wrapped up its second batch of the Airport Security Program (ASP) Writing Workshop at the Savoy Hotel, Pasay City. The crucial five-day training session, which commenced on November 17, focused on the development of a clear, robust aviation security program designed for all CAAP-operated airports nationwide.


Held in collaboration with the Office for Transportation Security (OTS), the ASP writing workshop gathered CAAP airport managers and security personnel to ensure the resulting security framework is compliant and highly responsive to the standards mandated by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Annex 17 and the National Civil Aviation Security Program (NCASP).



During the closing ceremony, MGen Ricardo C Banayat AFP (Ret), Assistant Director General of the CAAP Security and Intelligence Service (CSIS), extended his congratulations and challenged participants to continuously leverage their expertise to actively foster CAAP’s core mission of enhancing national air travel safety and security. The successful conclusion of this second batch signifies a major step forward in CAAP’s continuous efforts to maintain the highest levels of safety and security in the Philippine skies.
