The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) took part in this year’s Aerospace, Defense, and Security (ADS) Mission to the Philippines, held last Friday, 15 August 2025.

Representing CAAP, Director General LTGEN Raul L. Del Rosario AFP (Ret) actively participated in the forum. “The safety of our skies is inseparable from the safety of our nation, and we take this responsibility with utmost seriousness,” said DG Del Rosario, highlighting CAAP’s priority to keep the Philippine skies safe. DG Del Rosario also expressed gratitude for the constant support and fellowship of the U.S. government.

The two-day event, organized by the US-ASEAN Business Council (USABC) in partnership with the U.S. Embassy in the Philippines and the International Trade Administration, aimed to strengthen the aerospace, defense, and security ties of the Philippines and the United States. The ADS Mission was joined by 26 leading U.S. defense and aerospace companies visiting the Philippines to signify the U.S.’s objective of enhancing the diplomatic relationship between the two countries.

The mission also served as an open platform for sharing challenges and opportunities in the involved sectors as well as an avenue for possible collaborations with key stakeholders and industry partners as the Philippines continues to move towards modernization.

Overall, the ADS Mission has opened a space not only to deepen the partnership between the two countries, but also an opportunity for CAAP to share its initiatives and to uphold its commitment to ensuring that Philippine skies remain safe, resilient, and open for progress.

CAAP’s attendance in the mission’s forum is proof of the Marcos administration and the DOTr’s commitment to its vision of a globally connected Philippines.
