The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) began March with its monthly flag raising ceremony held at its Central Office in Pasay City on 2 March 2026.
In his message, Director General LTGEN Raul L Del Rosario, opened by offering a moment of silence for the tragic passing of former Puerto Princesa International Airport Acting Airport Manager Joanna Jonson-Infante last month. Sharing that despite the untimely loss, CAAP will ensure that she will be honored and that justice will be sought. The Director General continued by expressing that while there is sadness because the Authority lost a remarkable public servant, CAAP must continue to serve.
The Director General also then shared major announcements, including the celebration of the Authority’s 18th anniversary on 4 March 2026, themed “Powered by Our People, Guided by Our Purpose.” He reminded everyone that CAAP’s 18th year will be a year of transformation in the Authority’s systems, infrastructure, and culture. He also announced that the agency’s annual publication, Sky Watch, will be released this month, along with other anniversary activities to look forward to.

Looking back, the Director General recalled the previous month’s highlights, which included the Universal Safety Oversight Audit Programme (USOAP) Boot Camp held in Batangas, the donation of two CAAP Helio Aircraft to the National Aviation Academy of the Philippines (NAAP), and the turnover of land titles to the National Housing Authority (NHA).
In celebration of Women’s Month this March, the ceremony also took a special moment to honor the female leaders and employees of CAAP, recognizing their strength, dedication, and invaluable contributions.

The event likewise marked a significant milestone as CAAP’s new Mission and Vision were officially unveiled, setting the direction for the years ahead.

Moreover, the Authority formally held the awarding of ISO certificate to the Administrative, Finance, and Human Resource Management Departments after it successfully passed the ISO 9001:2015 certification on 27 January 2026.
