
The Philippine aviation sector, through Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) Director General Lt Gen Raul L Del Rosario AFP (Ret), is proudly represented at the very first Global Aviation and Maritime Symposium (GAMS) in Singapore from 13-14 July 2025, and 3rd Asia-Pacific Summit for Aviation Safety (AP-SAS) from 15-17 July 2025.
In line with the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and the leadership of Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Vince Dizon in promoting global cooperation and transport modernization, CAAP continues to engage in high-level international forums.
Director General Del Rosario also attended the second Meeting of Asia-Pacific Regulators on Advanced Air Mobility, and the Roundtable on Advancing Sustainable Aviation. He also met with the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), further intensifying the Philippines’ ties with international aviation safety organizations.
The event was joined by Secretaries-General of United Nations organizations like the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and International Maritime Organization (IMO) with high-level discussions under the theme, “Navigating Global Transport in a Changing World,” and “Shaping Tomorrow’s Transport: People, Technology, and Policy.”
Director General Del Rosario emphasized the importance of active international engagement for CAAP, especially in today’s rapidly evolving global transport landscape.
Organized by the Ministry of Transport, Singapore, GAMS gathered over 500 delegates including ministers, regulators and industry leaders from more than 80 countries and 90 organizations.
