Pasay Cityโ The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) through the Civil Aviation Training Center (CATC) has officially launched the inaugural batch for the Aeronautical Information Service Comprehensive Course (AISCC) on Monday, September 15, 2025.

This initiative is in line with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and Transportation Acting Secretary Giovanni Lopez to boost the nationโs aviation sector by investing in capacity-building and cultivating aviation professionals who can meet global standards of excellence.
A total of 35 trainees from Manila, Cebu, and Davao will undergo a four-month and two-week training program in order to equip them with necessary knowledge and skills to perform essential AIS functions, particularly in accurate and timely aeronautical and information crucial to aviation safety.
Upon completion, they will become part of the manpower of the AIS Department to further enhance CAAPโs operational capability.

CAAP Director General retired Lt. Gen. Raul Del Rosario emphasized that the initiative supports the ICAOโs Next Generation of Aviation Professional (NGAP) program, ensuring a steady line of skilled experts to sustain growth, enhance safety, and keep the Philippines competitive in the global aviation industry.
CAAP underscores its commitment to advancing the skills and competencies of aviation professionals, ensuring that the Aeronautical Information Service will provide a highest level of service from well-trained personnel to meet the growing demands of the aviation industry.
