Pasay City- The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) and all its Area Centers, participated in the third quarter of the annual Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) on Thursday, September 11, 2025.
This activity is part of CAAPโs commitment to the initiative of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) in fostering readiness, safety, and resilience during disasters, in line with the directive of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Acting Secretary Giovanni Lopez to ensure proactive disaster preparedness across government agencies.
CAAP Director General retired Lt. Gen. Raul Del Rosario reaffirmed the agencyโs commitment to protecting the flying public, personnel, and facilities nationwide, highlighting the importance of regular earthquake and disaster preparedness drills to ensure swift and effective response.
The Authority likewise underscores the importance of coordination among its area centers and partner agencies, recognizing that disaster preparedness is a shared responsibility.
