Brief Description of Project

The project covers the extension of the runway from 1,141 l.m. to 1,200 l.m., with upgrading of 100m. stopway on both ends.
The project also includes the concreting of apron (150x 60m), concreting of taxiways, renovation of terminal building, contruction of one bay
fire station building, construction of security fence and concrete hollow blocks perimeter fence of the entire airstrip.

Her Excellency President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo inaugurated the project at Evelio B. Javier Airport on March 28, 2003. The biggest aircraft that can be accomodated is DASH-7.
