Nationwide Air Navigation Facilities (ANF) Modernization Project-Phase III

Brief Description of Project

It covers the upgrading and modernization of air navigation facilities through the replacement of old equipment and installation/establishment of new facilities at selected twenty-five (25) airports and sites nationwide.

Scope of Works / Projects

  I. Expansion/Improvement of En-route Air Traffic Control Facilities:
 
  • Remote Control Air Ground(RCAG) facilities will be established in Palawan and Davao.
  • Present RCAG facilities at Laoag, Tagaytay and Cebu will be improved thru the supply and installation of new equipment.
  II. Improvement of Aerodrome/Approach Air Traffic Control Facilities:
 
  • Establishment/Construction of Control Tower Facilities at Caticlan, Kalibo, Laoag, Baguio and Cauayan.
  • Provision of new equipment at Plaridel, San Jose, Cagayan de Oro and Tuguegarao.
  III. Establishment/Improvement of Air Navigation Facilities:
 
  • En-Route facility at Jomalig.
  • Terminal Nav-Aid at Caticlan, Cauayan, Iloilo, Laoag, Cabanatuan, Masbate, Naga, Roxas, Tacloban and Zamboanga.
  IV. Improvement of Terrestrial Communications Facilities:
 
  • Provision/Expansion of Micro-wave facilities at Davao, Zamboanga and Tagaytay.
  V. Establishment of the CAAP Air Navigation Technical Center for:
 
  • Spare parts supply facility.
  • Equipment Repair and Calibration Facility.
  • Air Navigation Control Monitoring Facility.
