The new Iloilo Airport is within the municipalities of Sta.Barbara, Cabanatuan and San Miguel.
It was develop in order to cater the increasing air traffic demands. The project will help boost the economic develop of the Visayas Region
particularly Region XI covering the province of Antique, Aklan, Iloilo, Capiz, Guimaras and Negros Occidental.

Among the 86 national airports managed and maintained, Iloilo Airport is considered to bet the
fourth busiest in terms of number of passengers and cargos movement. The 188 hectares airport complex will be provided
with state of the art facilities that can accommodate 1.2 million annual passenger and 11,500 tons cargo.
