Entering data in the system is much like entering data in any web page. There is no need to worry about losing your changes though as you move from one form to another as the system immediately saves your information whenever you press the Next button.
| Entering Dates |
Many fields in the application forms allow you to enter a date. You can click the
calendar icon and choose a date from the pop-up calendar, or you can manually enter a date in
the format allowed by your Locale setting. All dates display with four digits for the year,
although you can input two or four digits according to these guidelines:
Enter four digits for any year, for example, 12/30/2005 is saved as Dec. 30, 2005
Enter two digits from 00 to 59 for years 2000 - 2059, for example, 12/30/40 is saved as Dec. 30, 2040
Enter two digits from 60 to 99 for years 1960 - 1999, for example, 12/30/60 is saved as Dec. 30, 1960
Enter four digits for any year from 1770 to 3999
Descriptive dates such as April, 2005, 03/05 or Sept. 15, 2005 are sometimes allowed on popup entries to allow flexibility. They may be used on From and To dates field such as in Flight Instructions Received entry.
| Entering Flight Time Record |
When entering flight time record, units such as 121 minutes will be converted to 2 hours 1 minutes automatically. In other cases, minutes field is limited to 2 characters only.
| Entering Phone Numbers |
When you enter phone numbers in various phone fields, you may need to enter the the 10 digit phone number formatted as (632) 233-1234 or (632) 2331234. Entering mobile phone numbers can be in the format (0917) 233-1234 or (0917) 2331234.
| Entering Height and Weight |
For fields such as height, you may enter 5' 5" for example, and this would be saved as 5 FT. 5 IN. You may also enter 5 FT. 5 IN. directly.
For fields such as weight, you may enter 120 LBS., 120 POUNDS, 65 KLS. or 65 KILOS directly into the weight field.
| Adding Items on Row Fields |
You cannot enter data directly on row fields such as in the figure below (Fig. 110). To add an item on such field, click on
. A new popup window will appear with detailed field entries for each row. You may then enter the required fields and click the OK button to save the information. The row item will then be automatically populated with the data you entered from the popup window.
